UBUCHINGO Continues Empowering Girls and Women
Ubuchingo Chairperson Bestone Banda says the situation of poverty in Zambia requires argent attention as it trickles down to innocent children. Mr. Banda was speaking when he officially opened a life skills training for girls and young women identified in Kasama.
Because of poverty children are unable to realize their rights and potential in life a problem which if not attended to could harm the future of Zambia. Due to the poverty situation many children are unable to attend school and find themselves looking for money to assist their families. “These are thesame children who have found themselves in deeper levels of poverty” he added.
Mr. Banda said Ubuchingo will continue empowering women and young girls in life skills to save the children. The Society for Child Protection – UBUCHINGO has been conducting these trainings at community level in three provinces Northern, Luapula and Eastern provinces. After the training the association is linking the trainees to funding associations for support.
